I'm Christopher Sloan, a professional bowler competing at the highest level of the game on the PBA and World Tour.
I taught myself to bowl two-handed in a country where nobody else did. There was no blueprint to follow — just trial, error, and chasing down anyone who knew more than I did. I sought out coaches and players wherever I could find them, wherever in the world that took me, and I took something from every one of them. It took years of getting it wrong before I got it right, and every lesson I learned came the hard way.
That's what turned into a career — and it's why nobody has to learn it the way I did.
I've represented Ireland on the international stage since 2010, finishing 2nd at the Bowling World Cup in 2016 and taking bronze at the World Men's Championships in 2018. I've won tournaments across Asia, Europe and the USA — most recently the 2024 Amir Cup in Doha, Qatar.
Along the way, I've worked with some of the best people in the sport: ball reps, lane pattern specialists, sports psychologists, physiotherapists and performance coaches.
I'm an IPSIA-accredited ball driller, I've owned and operated pro shops, and I've worked closely with the manufacturers. I understand layouts and equipment at a high level — and just as importantly, I can explain them simply.
Away from competing, I'm deeply invested in growing the game. I'm President of Tenpin Ireland, the national governing body for the sport in Ireland. I've presented seminars across Europe, Asia and the USA, and I've helped players develop the potential to go on and win European medals.
